After years of publishing comic and zine anthologies about hard-hitting issues like Doctor Who fan theories, pantsless animals, and swell tales from the sea, my pal Jarod Rosello and I are putting together a zine themed around Saturday Morning Cartoons.
We’re seeking submissions for this anthology. Comics are encouraged, but we’ll also consider prose, standalone art, poetry, or just about anything else that is inspired by 90s cartoons. Here are the details:
THEME: Saturday Morning Cartoons (90s cartoons)
ELIGIBILITY: Open to artists and writers of all ages
DEADLINE: July 31, 2017
SUBMISSION LENGTH: 1-10 pages
PAYMENT: Contributor copies
Black and white submissions only. Formatted to fit in a 5.5"x8.5" book.
Email submissions to djc5014@gmail.com
EDITORS: Denny Connolly and Jarod Rosello
If you want to submit a hardcopy instead of digital, please email us and we’ll work something out.
The Saturday Morning zine will debut at SPX in September 2017.
Please share this info with your friends and family!
Hi! The comic below can be found on my tumblr here: http://pleaseusethisbag.tumblr.com/post/161122746024/thing-i-done-for-the-other-worlds-zine-fair-2017
It was made as part of a fundraising zine for a Sydney zine fair called “Other Worlds”. Thanks for considering it!
