Just in case you missed this when Jeremy snuck it out last night!
A gorgeous piece of art we’ll be using to promote SPX 2013 - it will run first in the upcoming edition of Magic Bullet.
The piece also gives the first hint at the line up of special guests that are coalescing for this year’s show: Lisa Hanawalt, Gene Yang, Frank Santoro, Gary Panter and Seth!
We’re so appreciative to have all of these folks joining us - some for the first time ever - and doubly so to Jeremy for helping us debut their names in such ridiculously awesome fashion.
SPX 2013 is getting REAL. Hope we’ll see you there!

Lisa Hanawalt is famous.
New York Times Op-Ed illustration for this article about street fairs and parades. This was a very quick-and-fun turnaround.
Thanks to AD Matt Dorfman!
You guys, I’m excited about this one! I wrote and illustrated this piece, “The Secret Lives of Chefs,” for my new favorite magazine, Lucky Peach. Issue 3 should be in stores very soon - track down a copy to see the rest of my comic and enjoy all the other wonderful art, articles and recipes in there.
I reviewed The Vow! Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
Read the rest on Vanity Fair’s website!

Make your plans accordingly…
My friends. Lisa Hanawalt, Eleanor Davis and I will be speaking about comics and illustration at the Society of Illustrators in NYC next week (Feb 23rd).
There will be a cash bar and I’m trying to wrangle snacks. Hopefully something sugary to jack you all up to ask questions during the Q&A. Deets above and here. Purchase tickets here.
It’s true, this is happening! I’m so excited to speak with two of my favorite illustrators on the planet. Come see us.
