2014 SPX Library Gift Recipient - Official Announcement Coming Soon
We’re so very pleased to have the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) as the 2014 recipient of the Small Press Expo Library Gift Program. This program, now it it’s fourth year, is an outright gift of graphic novels to the library as selected by the library’s Collections Specialists, and comprises 334 individual books.
Over the last four years SPX has placed over 1,000 graphic novels from participating publishers: Adhouse Books, Drawn & Quarterly, Fantagraphics, Top Shelf, Koyama Press and Cartoon Books. into Washington DC-area libraries. Each book is marked with a special plate identifying it as a gift of the Small Press Expo.
We’re indebted to SPX 2014 special guest, Eleanor Davis for creating the beautiful bookplate you see above, which adorns each volume of the 2014 award. We’re likewise indebted to our partner-publishers. Without their support, this first of its kind program would simply not be possible.
