The University of Chicago is hosting a free 2 day conference this May 18th-20th with a slew of the most renowned and loved alternative comics artists and authors. On hand will be Art Spiegelman, Daniel Clowes, Lynda Barry, R. Crumb, Alison Bechdel, Charles Burns, Ben Katchor, Phoebe Gloeckner, Joe Sacco, Ivan Brunetti, Chris Ware, and many more. Panels, workshops, discussions, and other such events will be held on campus and the public is welcome to attend.
The title of the conference is Comics: Philosophy and Practice. Nerds, rejoice!
